About Me
I'm Miroslav Vysusil, IT consultant based in Prague. I've completed Bohemia Divide three times and Tour Aotearoa once (35 days, 3,000 km across New Zealand). I ride year-round, service my own bikes, and started bikepacking when a friend invited me to try Bohemia Divide.
I'm not a coach by training. I'm someone who's done these routes and learned, often the hard way, what works and what doesn't. If you're trying to figure out the same things for your first multi-day trip, I can save you a lot of time.
What I Help With
-
Bike and gear selection
Picking a first bike, what gear actually matters, what to leave at home. I'll look at what you already have and tell you what you actually need to add, or if you can start with what's in the garage.
-
Getting started with bikepacking
Your first multi-day route. How to plan it, how to prepare physically and logistically, what to expect in the first few days.
-
Bohemia Divide or Tour Aotearoa
Specific advice for these two routes. Route planning, logistics, flying with a bike to New Zealand, what each section is actually like.
How It Works
-
Email me your question or situation.
A few sentences is enough. Where you are now, what you're trying to do.
-
I'll reply within a few days.
If the answer is short, I'll just write it. If it makes sense to talk, we'll set up a call (Zoom or similar, in English).
-
First conversation is free.
If you want more in-depth follow-up after that, we can agree on next steps.
